PREREQUISITE FOR THE FREE OMBUDSMAN SERVICE
If you want to change the ombudsman office in order to benefit from the free FINSOM solution, please note the notice periods of the current ombudsman office
In case of a change, we need the written confirmation of the terminated ombudsman office:
- OFD - 6 months at the end of the year
- OFS - 3 months at the end of the year
- FINOS - by the end of November each year for the next calendar year
- UOS - 3 months to the end of the quarter

If the member is already with FINSOM, the membership fee can be taken over from the following year by IGUV . We only need the registration via the following form and the note: We are already a member of FINSOM.
Note for members who use our ombudsman service
Please note that ombudsman offices are required to report resignations and unpaid membership fees to FINMA. As an association, we would of course like to avoid that our members are reported to FINMA due to unpaid invoices.
We as IGUV offer our members the possibility to use the free ombudsman service FINSOM. This service is mandatory for financial advisors as well as asset managers and is covered by IGUV . The costs for the ombudsman service are financed by the membership fees of the respective member. If a member does not pay his dues, the ombudsman's office is not paid either.
IGUV receives a collective invoice from FINSOM at the beginning of each year and pays it on time. The costs are then later covered by incoming membership fees. However, should a member be in arrears, an expense fee of CHF 15 will be charged at the first reminder. At the second reminder, FINSOM will automatically be informed about the outstanding payment. If the second reminder also remains unsuccessful, legal action will be taken and the member will be excluded from the association.
