The FDF approves on July 27, 2020, three additional ombudsman offices.
FINSOM, SCAI and Terraxis all three are based in French-speaking Switzerland. No information is yet available on the websites of the ombudsman institutions mentioned.
Of the currently seven ombudsman offices already approved, FINOS and OFD so far offer a follow-up solution for asset managers.
The SBO (Swiss Banking Ombudsman Foundation) requires membership of the SBA (Swiss Bankers Association). Membership of the SBA in turn requires qualification as a bank or securities firm and, by definition, falls away as an ombudsman for asset managers.
The SFO is awaiting further information soon. Their offering is therefore unfortunately not yet available in the update of July 27, 2020.
The three ombudsman offices approved on July 27, 2020. FINSOM, SCAI and Terraxis have already been requested and the corresponding information will be updated as soon as possible.
Due to the pending applications at the FDF, IGUV recommends its members to continue to wait. There is no need to hurry.
